The pen was nice and the person I gave it to enjoyed the gift very much. A week later, after very little use, he went to use the pen and it wouldn't write. We opened it up and the ink cartridge was completely empty. There were no spills anywhere that we could find but it was completely drained. Definitely not worth the cost if that happens more than once but we will buy a replacement cartridge and try one more time before calling the pen a dud.

I have a collection of fountain pens, ranging from disposable to the sublime. This is a good every-day pen. Elegant in appearance, and highly functional, but not so expensive I'd be heart-broken if I lost it. I was a bit disappointed to discover a "standard" refill doesn't fit. Then I discovered that a Waterman pen refill will fit snugly. It's a tad long for the barrel so it will be a tight fit, and may in fact look like it isn't going to fit, but keep turning until you've reattached the barrel to the tip. Because it went unused for a while as I searched for the right cartridge, the tip clogged and it has taken quite a bit of effort to get it writing smoothly again--but this is not the pen's fault. Find your ink before you run out and it won't happen to you. But perhaps FC could sell Waterman-type cartridges in addition to the cross-type so we can all stay stocked up!

Hello,

The instructions included with the pen say to use international standard size fountain pen ink cartridges, so that's what I bought. But, they just will not fit.

Any advice on what kind of cartridges I should try next?

Although they're somewhat difficult to remove--I use tweezers, Waterman refills will stay in securely. They last for a reasonable amount of time, and it does write very smoothly. The weight is terrific in my hand. A small price to pay for easy to find refulls that they are a little bit more challenging to replace.

I haven't been able to use it. The cylinder with the tip on it will not unscrew from the top no matter which way it is turned.

I love fountain pens, but I am disappointed in this one.

I have a lot of different cartridge refills for fountain pens. Not one fits. I have bottles of ink for refillable fountain pens, but that's not an option. The pen feels good in my hand, but will I ever be able to get ink in it?

Now the problem is that I am from India(Bangalore) and found the availability of the catridge a big problem, yet to find the right catridge.

After purchase, I found no refills available on the web or at the store in Atlanta. A standard refill for a similar pen (cross) does not stay in place.

It arrived this morning and I've been writing with it all day. It writes beautifully and is suprisingly comfortable even after extended periods. This will be my every day pen.
